OUR MISSION
Impacting lives by gifting bicycles to those without reliable transportation.
Pedal Forward strives to better our community by delivering new or refurbished bicycles, bicycle maintenance, and bicycle parts to underprivileged citizens, granting them the ability to freely transport themselves around the area.
Whether pursuing education, a career, community, or recreation, Pedal Forward is set on establishing means for these valued members of our community.
With these accommodations, Pedal Forward encourages this population in need to grow and live happier lives, benefitting both themselves and the people around them.
OUR ORIGIN
Pedal Forward’s founder, Carmen Hines, & her husband, Casey Hines, moved from Texas in 2015, opening
C & C Cyclery, a bicycle shop, on April 1st, 2023 in Prescott Valley, Arizona.
One day at C & C Cyclery, a young woman had come in to get a mode of transport – a bicycle.
“This sweet girl came out of behavioral health & she had $50 in her pocket. She said she had a job if she could get there.“ – Carmen Hines
Casey had added a total of $150 worth of items to the bicycle, and Carmen ended up giving the bicycle to the young woman for free because she didn’t want to take her last $50.

This incident inspired Carmen to establish Pedal Forward – a 501(c)(3) charitable organization with the goal of refurbishing bicycles, collecting bicycle parts, and providing maintenance to donate to in need populations of all ages around the quad cities with the help of donations and partners.
Carmen and Casey Hines are committed to continuing their support for the Prescott Valley community, a place they now call home.
